In this challenging economic climate, I am proud to offer flat fees in all of my cases, including litigation, instead of charging by the hour. I charge flat fees because over the years, I have learned how long it takes to prepare and file pleadings, to get ready for a hearing, or to try a case. I know what is necessary and what is not. I know that most clients do not have the luxury of spending tens of thousands of dollars for expert witnesses, court reporters or nitpicky court fights that do not improve my client’s position. On the other hand, hiring a lawyer that bills by the hour is kind of like agreeing to buy a house before knowing the final price.
